Viva Las Vegas – New Censor Design Demo Released at Mysdata 2026!

We’re back! As Censor Design, we recently released our brand-new Commodore 64 demo, Viva Las Vegas, at the Mysdata 2026 party.

It was an incredible effort from the whole team done in about a month (or so…). Great teamwork, as always!
In this post, I wanted to showcase specifically my own work—the graphics I created for this release.

My main piece for this project was a mirror picture. I drew only a single quarter of the image at 160×512 pixels, and then Bob coded a clever routine to programmatically and hardware-mirror it across the screen to create the full layout!

Check out my artwork below to see how it turned I’ve included mirrored variants for your convinience. First image in this list is the original one (160x512px) I painted and then the rest are mirrored by Bob’s routine in the demo.

Here’s the „Viva Las Vegas” logo with some workstages. done in Photoshop and Timanthes (both pics are actually made using these two tools).

And here’s the coin 🙂

If you want to experience the full demo with all the routines, visuals, and music, or download the file to run on your real C64 hardware or emulator, head over to the C64 Scene Database:
